2013 Weingut Vollenweider Wolfer Goldgrube Resiling Spatlese
The lovely developed Spätlese enticed given its moderate alcohol content to another glass. The Riesling comes from the young Swiss Daniel Vollenweider, who tried his luck on the Moselle. It started with one hectare of Vollenweider almost forgotten Wolfer bonanza. Meanwhile, no service of young winemakers around four hectares mostly hallway adjusted parcels with a considerable stock of old, ungrafted vines. The soils are characterized by gray to red-gray slate in various states of decomposition. The late harvest Riesling is fully ripe and yellow fruit, playful despite its considerable residual sweetness and refreshing. The exposure is due to the Schiefermineralik that currently hides behind the fruity aromas.
